Saba/Zandvoort, The Netherlands -The islands of St. Maarten, St. Martin, Saba, and St. Eustatius came together on the beach of Zandvoort in The Netherlands to host a vibrant Travel Sector event. The event, which featured a Caribbean BBQ atmosphere, aimed to provide an update on the destinations and create valuable networking opportunities for trade partners interested in future collaborations.
With over 50 trade partners in attendance, including renowned tour operators, travel agencies, airline representatives, and travel media, the event highlighted the potential and unique experiences offered by the SSS islands. Supported by KLM and Air France flights, the Dutch market presents promising growth prospects. WinAir's codeshare agreements with both airlines further enhance the seamless travel experience to Saba and St. Eustatius. Additionally, the day trip options from St. Maarten and the island-hopping opportunities provided by Aqua Mania Adventures and Makana Ferry generated significant interest among the trade partners.
Commenting on the event, Director of Tourism Malinda Hassell said, "As SSS islands, we remain committed to strengthening the region and providing trade partners with exceptional island-hopping opportunities surrounding our main hub, SXM. Networking events like these rekindle interest in our destinations, increase exposure, and expand the array of travel options available to the Caribbean through our trade partners. We eagerly anticipate a future Fam Trip with selected Dutch trade partners, enabling them to experience our destinations firsthand and explore the remarkable opportunities each island offers. As part of the event, exciting prizes were raffled off, giving three lucky winners the chance to explore and discover the wonders of Saba.
